Georgi Simeonov, Executive Director of Hope and homes for children – Bulgaria, received the Ambassador of Good Award from Lazar Lazarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Policy.
This award has been given for the fourth year by the State agency for child protection (SACP). Twelve individuals and organizations have contributed to making a difference in the lives of families in difficulty and serving as examples of how our society has evolved in recent years of crisis.
In late 2022, a Bulgarian baby was removed from an institution in Ukraine and returned to Bulgaria. This operation brings together the efforts of the Executive Director of Equilibrium Galina Bisset, the President of the A21 Foundation Monika Nikolova, the Executive Director of Hope and homes for children – Bulgaria Georgi Simeonov, the social worker at the Social Assistance Directorate – Ruse Detelina Kirilova and the temporary Ambassador of the Bulgarian Embassy in Ukraine Teodor Savov.
