Another donation from Lidl Bulgaria

“Our tomorrow depends on our responsibility today” – this sentence seems to summarize why we have been cooperating with Lidl Bulgaria since 2017. Our work with families in a momentary crisis provokes us every day to look for quick and effective solutions to overcome it. Very often a package of diapers or food can decide the fate of a child. In recent years, through donations from Lidl, we have supported families with educational materials, household supplies, children’s books, clothes and shoes.

In 2020, COVID-19 aroused the greatest fear in person – the fear for the health of his loved ones and himself. The economic impact of the pandemic has made groups even more difficult, having experienced serious difficulties before COVID-19. Our mission is to help preserve the integrity of families and their children to grow up in a loving environment. This requires us to look for simple but working donation mechanisms on a daily basis. Building partnerships, such as with Lidl and with individual citizens, contributes to more comprehensive support for families in crisis. This year, in addition to clothes, tools and household items, tools were included with which parents can develop their skills to repair clothes, furniture or make toys for their children. Our coordinators, after a needs assessment, will hand over the donation in the districts of Sofia, Vidin, Vratsa, Pleven, Sliven, Yambol, Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Kardzhali, Veliko Tarnovo and Burgas.

Many thanks to Lidl for providing tools and materials for the families we work with.
