On 16th of June 2018, a session with children from the Child Participation Program of HHC – Bulgaria took place. The session was devoted to HHC’s Organizational strategy which was presented with key highlights and activities. Twelve children aged 14 to 18 discussed why they wanted to be part of the program, what motivates them to participate, what their values are, and what would they ask their peers from other countries where the organization is operating. The “World Cafe” and “Open Space” methods were used to stimulate children’s creativity. The children shared that they really enjoyed the session and learned a lot of things both for each other and for the organization’s role as a catalyst of the deinstitutionalization process. The participants declared their desire to continue developing the program and working together to support children at risk.
