For many children all over the world here comes the most awaited time of the year. Christmas is always associated with home comfort and cosiness, meetings with friends, lots of laughter and of course – hope that something better awaits us in the future. A day before the World Children’s Day in November the 20th, the participants in the Children’s Participation Program of Hope and Homes for Children – Bulgaria gathered and visited the Hristo Botev family type placement center for children and youths with disabilities in Sofia. This is a place they are visiting not for the first time, and this interaction helps to build empathy. As the holidays are approaching, the children and youths from the Program and the center prepared together Christmas cards with lots of smiles and laughter, wishing good health, joy, good luck and even more opportunities to build friendships. It is nice when everyone is committed to a common cause – to welcome Christmas and dream of an even better world with equal opportunities for all to develop their potential.
Even for that little time spent together, everyone had fun and promised to continue creating even better prospects for their friends at the Centre
