An organizational meeting on the “Right of participation and voice” Project was held on 26 September 2020, with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism.
The meeting was attended by 15 children and young people and their parents. The goals of the program “Active Citizens Fund”, the goals and tasks of the Project, the successes of the Youth Program of Hope and homes for children – Bulgaria were presented. Everyone had the opportunity to talk to the project team about the activities and the time for their implementation.
In the form of “World Cafe”, parents and children divided into 4 tables had the opportunity to work on the following issues:
- How will the participation of children and young people in various activities be ensured?
- How will the right of voiceof every child and young person on important topics be guaranteed?
- Which of the child’s rights are most basic and necessary for you?
- What child rights issues would you like children and young people to discuss?
Children and young people want to actively build their future here and now. It is important for them that the authoritative figures in society respect them. They want their opinions to be respected and their dreams to be shared.
The meeting ended with the question “How did you feel at the meeting?”
