The charity initiative “Christmas tree of Good” in the District Administration – Burgas and this year again pleased dozens of children from socially disadvantaged families on Christmas Eve and New Year in the Burgas region.
The campaign of the District DI Coordination Mechanism (DDICM) is held for the fifth consecutive year in compliance with all precautionary measures and has established itself as a very good tradition of kindness and care for children. Despite the difficult situation in the country, this year’s “Christmas tree of Good” was even richer and more generous. Over 160 packages of toys, new clothes, shoes, books, cosmetics and children’s food gathered in 10 days, and many donors asked and waited for the campaign. In the days before Christmas and New Year, the social workers from CPD Burgas, Aytos, Sozopol, Center for public support – Burgas, Center for public support “Philip Kutev” – Burgas, Center for public support Pomorie, Project “Accept me” and the regional coordinator of Hope and homes for children – Bulgaria made it possible for the gifts to arrive on time and brought joy to the children at risk and their families from the municipalities in the Burgas region, with which the Coordination Mechanism worked during the year.
A number of organizations, companies, citizens and employees of the Burgas District Administration, headed by the District Governor Valcho Cholakov, joined the noble initiative again. Adapted milks, diapers, baby porridges and purees, clothes and toys were donated by Zonta Club Burgas, Women in Science Club, Bulgarian Independent Women’s Society “Self-Awareness”, “Women in Science Club”, “Women – GERB” Club, company “Char”, Association “Smile”, Chitalishte “Cyril and Methodius 1985”, Directorate, “CAU Osvobozhdenie” and many citizens – Tanya Koleva, eng. Milena Mihaylova, Maya Portarska, Reneta Tonich, Svetlana Zarkova, Denitsa Dolapchieva, Plamena Shiekova, Nikoleta Dolapchieva, the Barevi family, the Kolichevi family and many other anonymous donors.
DDICM expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all participants in the campaign, let’s be better, help each other in difficult moments and have the strength to create a little miracle every day – a smile, a good deed, a kind gesture.
