Partnership between “Hope and Homes for Children – Bulgaria” and the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria is established

 

 

On 04.04.2018 the Executive Director and the National Policy Coordinator of Hope and Homes for Children – Bulgaria presented the IMPACT Programme to the participants in a meeting of the National Association of Municipalities in Republic of Bulgaria.

Georgi Simeonov and Elena Petkova presented the program, which includes scientific and practical proved tools and approaches to prevent the problem behavior of disabled children and young people living in the Family type placement center.

The goal was Hope and homes for children – Bulgaria to offer support and training for key specialists from all family-type placement centers for children and young people with disabilities in the country. This was welcomed by the representatives of the municipalities, which are the largest provider of Family-Type Placement Centers in the country. The training will be funded under the programme of Hope and homes for children – Bulgaria for the capacity building of professionals working in the social sphere.

All participants agreed that the good partnership between Hope and homes for children – Bulgaria and the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria – will support the staff in some of the most difficult but also extremely successful community services – Family type placement centers.
