As part of the IMPACT Training Program of Hope and Homes for Children – Bulgaria, aimed at preventing problem behavior and coping with the crises of children and adolescents at Family Type Centers for Disabled Children and Young People in the whole country, in Dobrich was held next training from July 24 to 26.
Dimitrinka Grigorova – Consultant of “Hope and Homes for Children – Bulgaria” and Elena Petkova – National Coordinator of the organization shared their expertise and practical experience with representatives – specialists and managers – from the Varna, Dobrich, Topoli, Shumen and Novi pazar.
As the participants themselves shared “we stolen everything”, and in their feedback, they appreciate the training provided, especially in terms of its practical focus, both for working with the non-target group of family-type placement centers for children and adolescents with disabilities, and direct work with the staff, which is not less important.
The training was assessed to be extremely motivating, useful and interesting by specialists who need a constant support, case-studies and case-specific consultations, and non-standard solutions, as the cases themselves are unconventional and require innovative approaches and thinking beyond the framework .
Training on the IMPACT Innovative Program continues for other municipalities in the country providing the services of the Family type placement centers for children and adolescents in September.
