The report present the analysis of the data collected in the course of the performance of the reintegration program of Hope and Homes for Children – Bulgaria, implemented between October 2014 and March 2017. The report was prepared in the framework of a program performance evaluation project implemented by the Know-How Centre for Alternative Care for Children of New Bulgarian University.

The data needed to evaluate social workers’ performance efficiency were collected in three short periods of time: (1) prior to the intervention (initial assessment) while the child was still in the institution or right after it was received back in the family ; (2) immediately right after the intervention (after the finalization of the support); the work with each child and its family took a different time depending on the needs of the family, and (3) six months after the work with the children and families was finalized. This procedure of collecting evidences was absolutely the same as the procedure used in the activities related to prevention of abandoning children in specialized institutions.
