Maria Hristova, regional coordinator – Sofia city and Sofia – district

She has been working in the HHC Bulgaria team since February 2020 – the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and this has made her even more dedicated to her work.

She consults, supports, accompanies families with children at risk and single parents who want to raise their children in a family environment. She assists the CPDs in reintegrating children into their families or placing abandoned babies in foster care. Maria collects, stores, and distributes in-kind donations that are sent to her by various people and companies. She communicates well with both local authorities and minority people.
